If you write plugins, please, please, with-a-cherry-on-top, consider:

• Denormal / subnormal numbers — a subtle problem which can cause very slow execution of plugins (and therefore hosts like Ardour).
• Torturing your creations using a tool to test your plugins systematically.

This way, your plugins will work well on the majority of systems.
